How to Detox Your Body

Want To Detox – Here Are 5 Methods

Are you feeling drained, sluggish, or just plain unhealthy? In that case, the answer to your problems may be  in a body detox.  With a cleanse, you allow your body to expel the  dangerous toxins it has gathered.  The end result will be an improvement in your health and general well being.

Here are 5 simple ways to clean up your act:

1 – Eat Organic Meals

Toxins accumulate in our our bodies for numerous places, however one important source is the unnatural food we eat. Many common products such as  snacks and drinks are full of unnatural chemicals.  Even with a healthy digestive system, not all of these toxins can be eliminated. That’s the reason a cleanse is recommended on occasion.  Then, eat only natural foods.

Even only a few weeks or months of consuming natural and organic foods will  improve your health.

2 – Water Fasting

Water fasting is a comparatively quick technique to detox your body, but it’s a strategy that many people find difficult. This is due to the elimination of solid foods. On average, a water fast can be 3 to 5 days. Any longer needs to be under the guidance of a medical professional,  as it’s possible you’ll put your health at risk.

A water fast can also help to lose weight. However, realize that your weight loss will likely just be temporary. Whenever you resume eating, you’ll start to gain weight. To keep up a wholesome weight, persist with wholesome foods.

3 – Juice Fasting

Juice fasting is  like water fasting only with juice. At  the market, you’ll discover a number of all-natural juices. These juices are made without sugar and different unnatural additives. You can also make your individual juices at home with a juicer. You can experiment and discover the perfect tasting juices.

Juice fasting has the same risks as water fasting, as you are not consuming stable foods. That is why extended juice fasts are advised against.

4 – Improve Fiber Consumption

Fiber is important to a healthy digestive system. Since  research has shown, that most people don’t consume a helpful  dose of daily fiber, it is no surprise that many experience a buildup of toxins in their bodies. That’s the reason meals which are high in fiber are recommended. It’s best to get your fiber via foods,  as opposed to fiber supplements.

By increasing your fiber intake, you will  notice an enhancement in your digestive system and regularity.  In case you really wish to cleanse your physique, it is best to mix fiber with healthy or all-natural, natural foods.

5 – Exercising

Sadly, when many individuals consider expelling toxins from the body, the bodily elimination comes to mind. Yes, this is the most common method to detox the body, but the human body also does so via sweating. Exercise can help you detox your body.  Along with increasing your fiber consumption, exercise is really helpful with wholesome eating.

Protection for Your Heart

 Prevention of Heart Plaque

“One minute he was fine and BOOM–the next minute he was dead!”That’s how people often describe it when someone suddenly drops dead of a heart attack.Puts a little “adventure” in each day, huh?

According to the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), the top cause of death in the US continues to be heart disease.

“Heart disease” includes coronary heart disease, heart attack, congestive heart failure and congenital heart disease.

But with the exception of congenital heart disease (meaning you’re born with it), heart disease doesn’t just pop out of nowhere.

It’s created over time.

You see, the main cause of heart disease is atherosclerosis (hardening of the arteries). And that is created slowly, methodically, day after day and year after year.

Here’s what happens–let’s take a peek inside your arteries:

The creation of atherosclerosis

Stage 1: A little artery wall damage

Just like anything else, your arteries endure normal “wear and tear.” There are often signs of minor abrasions in the arteries of people as young as 20.

High blood pressure is also a culprit. The force of your blood being pumped through your blood vessels can cause serious damage to the walls of your arteries over time. And if your blood is a bit thick due to abuse, well…
Stage 2: Inflammation

Once an artery becomes damaged, it sounds the alarm for your body’s repair system, which is made up of platelets and white blood cells.

Although these substances are supposed to promote healing, if the damage continues, they “go too far” and instead create pockets of inflammation in your arteries.
Stage 3: Enter cholesterol

Inflammation in your arteries provides the spot where cholesterol builds up.

LDL (bad) cholesterol is transported inside white blood cells called macrophages through your arteries and is “dropped off” at one or more of your inflammation pockets.
Stage 4: Plaque buildup

This is where large amounts of LDL cholesterol have begun accumulating along the walls of your arteries.
Stage 5: Serious blockage…and hello heart disease

This is where your coronary arteries are so clogged with plaque that they’re squeezing off the blood supply to your heart. Hello heart disease.

Note that if a blood clot finds its way to a clogged coronary artery and completely shuts it off, you have a heart attack. If this happens in a vessel that brings blood to the brain, it’s a stroke.
Prevent being a statistic

While the process I’ve just described is rather grim, in addition to quitting smoking, maintaining a healthy weight and exercising, there are three VERY effective measures you can take to help prevent becoming a statistic.

And not only make it into your golden years, but be able to enjoy them as well!

1- Be a good home for your heart

All of your organs were designed to function in an alkaline environment, and that especially includes your heart.

Your heart pumps an astounding 13,000 quarts of blood a day. If there are lots of toxins in that blood, your heart is under a tremendous strain. Plus, acid wastes in your system rob your blood of oxygen, and that causes your heart tissue to deteriorate.

So it’s essential to keep your pH as alkaline as possible and minimize the toxins flowing through your blood. Your life may literally depend on it.

The good news is that it’s not difficult.

The Great Taste No Pain manuals will show you exactly what to do.

“How To End Stomach Pain Forever, Even If Your MD Says, ‘No Way!'” teaches you the simple principles of smart food pairing which helps prevent accumulation of acid wastes.

“Foods That Create Acid, Foods That Take It Away” spells out which foods are inherently acid-waste culprits and which are alkaline so there’s no guesswork.

And “What To Eat With What” tells you exactly what to pair with all of your favorite foods to make them easily digested, including meats, pastas, grains, dairy, bread and vegetables.

Eating for a more alkaline pH couldn’t be easier…or better for your heart.
2- Get enough omega-3 essential fatty acids

Omega-3 fatty acids have shown to be an important tool to help fight heart disease in these ways:

* They’ve been medically proven to help lower blood pressure. Studies show that minimal daily fish oil supplementation alone can lower your systolic (the top number) pressure by five points or more and your diastolic (the bottom number) pressure by three points or more!

* Omega-3 fatty acids have anti-inflammatory properties, which may help counteract any inflammation you might have building up in your arteries.

* They help reduce dangerous LDL cholesterol.

* Omega-3 fatty acids help raise HDL (good) cholesterol levels.

* They also help keep blood clots from forming by reducing the stickiness in your platelets and curbing the production of fibrinogens — protein strands that can get tangled up with platelets and result in a clot.

Problem is, most people in developed countries are seriously lacking in omega-3 fatty acids.

So one of the best ways to help support your heart is to take a very high-quality fish oil supplement.

Like VitalMega-3.

The suggested 2-capsule daily serving packs a whopping 1,200 mg. of EPA, DHA and other Omega-3 fatty acids in the same pure, potent form you’d get directly from fish itself.

Plus the oils in VitalMega-3 go through a molecular distillation process that removes heavy metals like mercury and PCB’s — so it’s far safer than eating fish itself.
3- The B12 connection

Vitamin B12 has many important functions, including forming your DNA and helping your body generate energy.

But it also plays a HUGE role in heart health.

Vitamin B12 helps keep levels of the amino acid homocysteine in check, which experts believe may help decrease heart disease risk.

It’s also essential to the production of red blood cells, which carry oxygen through the blood to the body’s tissues, thereby helping to prevent the heart deterioration caused by low blood oxygen levels.

Problem is, approximately 1 out of 4 adults is deficient in B12 and doesn’t even know it.

What makes that worse is that B12 is one of the most difficult vitamins for your GI tract to absorb. So even if you’re eating sources of B12 and/or supplementing with vitamin pills, you still may be seriously lacking in this natural heart disease prevention.

Hydroxaden 2.5 can help turn that around for you quickly and easily.

Hydroxaden 2.5 is a convenient vitamin B12 spray that gives you a daily dose of the most powerful form of vitamin B12 (hydroxocobalamin).

Just five little sprays under your tongue each day give you a full 2.5 mg. of B12 (that actually gets into your blood stream) to boost your energy, help sharpen your mind and enhance your immune system.

In addition to a crucial dose of vitamin B12, Hydroxaden 2.5 also gives you niacin (vitamin B3), vitamin B6, riboflavin (vitamin B2), plus a blend of herbs including ginseng, rosemary and blueberry.

All of these nutrients working together in harmony support sharper mental function, stronger immune health, a healthier overall metabolism and…

Protection for your heart.
Heart disease is nothing to take lightly.

And the biggest mistake you can make is thinking that it can’t happen to you.

It can. It didn’t get to be the number one killer by affecting just a few.

Do all you can to keep this killer far away from you.

Your body will say thank you, and so will your loved ones.

To your health.

William asks…

Heartburn?

I am a 15 years old boy, and I have a problem with my stomach. It feels like a bad hearburn after I ate something the night before, and it’s very uncomfortable, it lasts at least through the whole night.
This heartburn feeling comes about every few months, do you know why?

health answers:

Do you mean you eat at bedtime? It’s not good to eat within an hour of going to sleep because the increased acid in your stomach can give you problems when you lay down to sleep. Caffeine, chocolate can cause increased acid production too.

Are you drinking enough water with your meals? It’s important to clear your esophagus after having solids, especially if you tend to get heartburn. When you get that heartburn, sip on water to try to dilute the acid.

When you feel the heartburn coming on at night, take a Mylanta or Maalox and try sleeping up on 3 or 4 pillows, or elevate the head of your mattress on some pillows, or elevate the head of your bed on some blocks or books. That can help prevent the stomach acid from splashing up into your esophagus.

Some people have a weak valve at the top of their stomach. That allows acid to splash up into the esophagus, causing heartburn. That is known GERD. If you allow that to continue you could have problems with ulcer and even cancer of the esophagus. You should tell your doc about those symptoms so he/she can order something for you. At age 15 you need your tetanus booster, so when you go to the doc to get that, mention your heartburn. Good luck!

Sharon asks…

What is the link between Appendicitis and Crohn’s Disease?

Hi. I hear there is a link between Appendicitis and Crohn’s Disease? How true is this? I suffered an appendicitis a week ago, and still recovering and am beginning to wonder if it could be Crohn’s disease. My doc said the appendicitis cause inflammation of my cecum too. Any medical advice out there?

Nutritionatlast answers:

Your appendix is part of the lymphatic system and crohn’s disease is primarily due to parasites in the intestines due to dysbiosis. The human pathogens found in pasteurized milk from grain fed cows you buy in the store has about 2 – 3% of these human pathogens that survive the heat process. The altered calcium and damaged proteins from pasteurization along with the highly inflammatory milk as a result of feeding the cows grains is a big factor as well. 92% of all crohn’s disease patients have this bacteria in their intestines.

If you look at the pathetic products manufacturers are making for crohn’s patients, it is no wonder this is a chronic illness that requires a life time of drug use to treat the symptoms. Cleaning up the intestines, removing the parasites, getting on a good nutritional diet, and making the digestive system work like it should is the answer, not drugs or surgery.

An inflamed appendix is just that, it is an inflamed body part. Most likely it is inflamed for the same reasons crohn’s disease is there, but is not the cause of crohn’s. The lymphatic system, that the appendix is part of, can be clogged and bogged down with dead cancer cells, debris that the body is trying to eliminate. The lymphatic system has NO pump like the circulatory system does (the heart), so it relies on exercise and movement to help the lymph flow along. You can also take herbs like devil’s claw or cat’s claw to help lymphatic movement.

The medical advice for crohn’s is not good and that should be obvious because they can never seem to help anyone get rid of the disease, just treat the symptoms.

Good luck to you

Donna asks…

What is the difference between Crohn’s disease and Ulceretive colitis?

How to recognize Crohn’s disease and Ulcerative colitis right away?
I appreciate your help.

Nutritionatlast answers:

It is very difficult to distinguish between CD and UC based on clinical inspection alone, as both are inflammatory processes that may cause diarrhea and bleeding. However, CD causes involvement of any part of the GI tract, from mouth to anus, and thus manifestations of the esophagus, stomach (i.e. Upper GI bleed present as black stool), small intestine (malabsorption), or mouth (such as oral aphthous ulcers) are good clues that you may be dealing with CD rather than UC. In contrast, UC is limited to the colon and thus will not cause the extracolonic effects I mentioned.

Patient information may also help, as CD is seen in younger people (with high prevalence in Jewish people), while UC is most commonly seen in older people.

Otherwise, definitive diagnosis is based on endoscopic and histological evidence of specific etiology.

Troubling Health Trends

The 6 Most Troubling Health Trends Today
Hi,  common themes come up again and again when people tell me about their health and what their doctors tell them.See how many of them describe you:1) Expensive medicationYou dread going to the doctor because you know all it will mean is more expensive, embarrassing tests and more prescription drugs. Heaven help you if they happen to be one of the new “premiere” drugs that are barely covered under insurance–you’ll practically need a second mortgage on your house to afford them. Are you spending too much money on medications you don’t want to take?
2) One drug leads to another

If you are taking medications, they only provide minimal relief if any at all. And it’s pretty likely that you’re suffering from one or more side effects. You might even need another medication to address the side effects of the first one.

Sound familiar?
3) Getting WORSE–not better

Even though you may be “getting treated” for a health problem, chances are it’s getting worse and worse–not better. The treatment is not working.

Am I talking about you?
4) The white coat treadmill

You might be taking a certain drug for a condition, but it eventually stops working or causes horrible side effects. So you go to the doctor and get another one. But then THAT drug either stops working or causes side effects. So you go back to the doctor again and get yet ANOTHER pill, and…you see the pattern.

I call that “running on the white coat treadmill.”

Are you a runner?
5) “Diet doesn’t matter”

If you have a digestive problem and ask your doctor what you should or shouldn’t be eating, you are told that either:

1- “You must avoid spicy foods, citrus fruits, raw vegetables, nuts or seeds,” or
2- “Your diet doesn’t matter.”

Both of these pieces of “advice,” by the way, are completely, 100% wrong, and not grounded in any scientific evidence whatsoever. Old tales…like getting 7 yrs of bad luck for breaking a mirror or walking under a ladder. There is, however, a mountain of research, both old and new, proving it false.

Have you been told this rubbish by doctors?
6) You see pain and illness as normal…expected

This is probably the saddest trend of all. So many clients tell me that they’ve been in pain for so long they’ve come to view it as normal or the way it’s meant to be for them.

News flash: Pain is NOT normal. It’s a sign that something is seriously wrong with your body, which if corrected, can make the pain go away or reduce significantly.

Has pain or “upset,” and specifically pain somewhere between your throat and your anus, become common for you?

================================

If you saw yourself in one or more of these themes, I have great news for you.

Your life and state of health are about to change very dramatically and with lightning speed…

…by doing something that’s probably never been suggested to you before: Altering your food choices!

Do that in the proper way and your stomach naturally secretes less acid, and your intestinal flora can be in perfect balance.

That’s right.

It’s almost magical. And here’s the truth about why it can happen so predictably:

Alkaline pH

Your body is meant to be alkaline. It’s how you were born and how you’re meant to stay. All of your organs, tissues, bones and joints work like they’re supposed to when your blood pH is slightly alkaline (around 7.365).

When there are forces working on and in your body that try to make your pH too acidic, however, that’s when your body begins to literally break down. Aches and pains creep up. Tumors flourish. Nasty diseases rear their ugly heads.

Now, far and away the best and fastest way to achieve and maintain an alkaline pH is from the food you eat (and the food you do NOT eat). To prevent illness and pains, you must eat foods and meal combinations that are alkalizing to your body. If you don’t, you get sick. If you do, you feel better instantly.

“You are what you eat” is the greatest truth of all.

If you’re not sure where to start, no problem. Simply follow my advice in the Great Taste No Pain digestive health system.

I will show you which foods are acid forming to your body and which are alkaline. I’ll show you exactly how to create perfect, easily digestible, to-die-for meal combinations.

It’s so simple an 8 yr old can learn this. Probably a 7 yr old.

So you can, too…right?

You’ll be astounded at how delicious the food is, and even more shocked at how quickly you’ll start to feel better. I‘ve seen thousands of people end their illnesses in just days or as quickly as one meal.

Even if their doctors gave them no hope at all.

No exaggeration.

It can happen that fast!  Even if you’ve been in misery every day for years.

Balance intestinal flora

This is the second half of the “almost magical health formula.”

Your body (especially your digestion and your immune system) functions optimally when you have a healthy balance of friendly vs. harmful bacteria in your gut.

You should have at least 85% beneficial bacteria and no more than 15% harmful.

Problem is, due to acid-forming foods, environmental toxins, stress and MEDICATIONS, most people’s flora balances are completely the opposite of what they should be.

In other words, they’re overrun with dangerous bacteria.

This leads to or worsens digestive problems, as well as making your immune system practically non-existent.

If you’ve been suffering from one cold, virus or infection after another, this is likely the reason why.

Balancing your intestinal flora is easy — a high quality probiotic supplement is a must.
